I have been drawn to the healing arts from a very young age.  It is my mission and passion in life to help people heal and transform themselves in ways they never imagined possible.  I enjoy helping people from all backgrounds and identities. Growing up, I attended "peace school" during the summer months to learn skills of conflict management and non-violent communication.  I was inspired by experiencing our diversity as something that makes us beautiful and strong.  I encourage all of my patients to find what's unique and special within themselves and celebrate it.

I have found through my own life experiences that the healing journey is not a linear (or easy) one, but a constant commitment to self-care, growth, and awareness.  When we experience pain, trauma, or stress, our body responds accordingly.  Our heart rate increases, our nervous systems rev up, and we feel out of balance with who we truly are.  The mind-body-spirit connection makes us better able to handle these stressors.  Our bodies are here to support us through our transitions and we can best support our bodies by healing the emotions and the energetic, invisible, spiritual side, as well.  I combine my acupuncture practice with Shiatsu (bodywork massage), Maya Abdominal Massage, Reiki (healing touch), and Shamanic healing (energy medicine).

I am originally from Ohio, where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Organizational Leadership.  In 2013, I graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (the top school for Acupuncture in the US) and received a Master's of Oriental Medicine.  I am certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the Oregon State Medical board to practice acupuncture, Oriental bodywork (Shiatsu and Tuina), cupping, moxibustion, Chinese herbal medicine, and to give nutritional and lifestyle recommendations.  I am also a Professional level Maya Abdominal Massage practitioner, Reiki Master, and Shamanic practitioner.  I have treated many different types of patients and really enjoy working with all people: women, men, and children.

I currently live in the countryside in Beaverton 4 cats, a dog, and many peacocks :) In my spare time I love to hiking, bird watching, explore natural wonders, and sing my heart out.  I like to cultivate silence and have attended many Vipassana meditation retreats.

Testimonials

"After relocating from a large city, I was skeptical I'd ever find a new acupuncturist and holistic healer to replace my former well-matched ones. After trying on several in Portland and outside of Portland proper that came close but no cigar, I gave up my search until my massage therapist referred me to Jenna. I cannot thank my massage therapist enough for that nonchalant referral. Jenna is a medical arsenal / healthcare advocate every patient should have in their back pocket. She is an impressively knowledgeable, skilled and passionate practitioner and the most patient and giving of her time and expertise of any practitioner I've encountered. Every medical facility should have a practitioner like Jenna and if I could clone Jenna to be available to all patients, I would!"-C.G.

"I love Jenna! She is so intuitive and so good at what she does! My work is very stressful....heck life in general can be stressful!!! Every time I see Jenna she rejuvenates me and makes me feel so relaxed and HAPPY! I have gone to other massage therapists but her therapy is the only one that is able to keep this relaxed feeling last. Others last 2-3 days, a session with Jenna can last way longer! And she's able to give you advice to maintain a positive lifestyle! She's definitely the best! Jenna is a necessity in life!" -C.P

"I feel SOO good right now, and I think it's because I went to see Jenna for a session this week. I heard about Jenna through a mutual colleague and scheduled a session with her because I was hoping to experience a higher degree of wellness in my life.I was particularly interested in Jenna's work because she seems to have so many different skills - acupuncture, reiki, cupping, shiatsu (and I think there's even more, but those are the ones I can remember!). My session with her included cupping, shiatsu, chakra clearing, and sound therapy. Honestly, I don't really understand all the modalities, but I felt really wonderful after I left - peaceful, well, and relaxed. I felt more ready to take on the day and emotionally grounded. You can't argue with results!
Also, coincidentally I had a cold when I went to see her, even though that wasn't the reason I went. Before the session was even over, I noticed my sniffles were going away, and the cold basically subsided quickly afterwards, and I think it was from the cupping work she did. Jenna is wonderful! I'm so glad I found her."
